+Art Deco
Art Deco was a style of arts, architecture and design popular in the 1920s and 1930s, characterized by geometric forms and rich decorations. An Art Deco watch is characterized by geometric shaped case, most of the time square, rectangular or circular. In the engraving of the watch you can find geometric shapes created with the smallest detail for the exterior decoration or even for the interior of the movement.

Swiss Made Watch
This is a remarkable antique timepiece! A vintage Doric Art Deco mechanical wristwatch, dating from the 1920s. It is a manual-wind watch powered by the original Doric Watch Co. mechanical movement, featuring 6 jewels, one adjustment, a sub-second hand, and Swiss-made.
It still has the original silver-tone dial, with a beautiful patina that perfectly complements the gold Arabic numerals, gold minute track, and matching hands. The sub-second hand is positioned at the 6 o'clock mark, accompanied by a black railroad second track with Arabic numerals every 10 seconds. The dial is also signed "DORIC" at the top.
Housed in a 29.3mm tonneau-shaped case with a distinctive art deco engraved design on the sides, the watch features a chromium-plated finish.
It is fitted with a silver-tone vintage bracelet, adjustable to fit a wrist up to 7" (17.8cm).
This wristwatch is in excellent condition, running smoothly and keeping accurate time!

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men’s watches typically measure between 29-36mm wide (some larger, some smaller) excluding the crown. In the listing details we typically try to do our best to list all pertinent dimensions of a watch. If you don't see it, or we failed to do so, please reach out to us. Women’s watches from the 1900s-1970s were also much smaller than today's offerings. Please also feel free to ask any questions you have pertaining to size.
We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust the lighting, when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
The condition is pre-owned.
The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended.
